SHABAB Project - Strategy Highlighting And Building Abilities for Business
SHABAB is a national movement of local community action that forms a part of the Syria Trust for Development, headed by the First
Lady of Syria. The objectives of SHABAB are to boost entrepreneurship among young Syrians, Encourage them to enter the private
sector and to create a positive impression of business in the Syrian society
Responsibilities
- To identify and adapt new projects and programmes to suit local requirements and to fit within the SHABAB strategy
- To design and initiate pilots of new projects as well as to set milestones and key performance indicators against which
the projects will be judged
- To regularly evaluate and report on existing programmes.
- To recruit and manage trainers and consultants whether they are full time or temporary employees and to help
recruiting and selecting the project’s employees and programmes’ managers
Achievements
- Initiated “Global Exchange” programme for the first time in Syria in pratnership with The British
Council, Syria and Volunteer Services Overseas VSO, UK.

- Participated in Initiating “Harran Al-Awameed” Project in cooperation with The Ministrey of Labor
and Social Affairs.
